How To Prepare for a New cat

Cats can give your family a lot of satisfaction. And in order to prepare for the adoption of a new family member, Here are some tips that can help you.

1) Give your cat some time to get used to the new environment
Determine an isolation room where you will spend the first couple of days. After a certain time, the cat will want to explore other rooms, so you can gradually explore other parts of the apartment/house.

It may happen that the cat will meow the first few nights if she is not accustomed to being separated from her mother. You can calm her down by lifting her and caressing her for a while.

2) Make sure your house/apartment cat proof. This implies that a pussy cannot get out, jump out of the window or slide into a corner where you will find it difficult to get her out, for example, attic or basement.

If the cat is able to climb, it is advisable to put a smaller board on the radiators so that it does not happen for her safety.

If you have small children, I’m sure that they will want to play with your cat as soon as possible, but it is very important that you allow a certain period of time to get used to the new environment. You need to define clear rules for the cat as well as for your children. Where will the kitty go, which room she may enter, should she go out, what can she climb? As far as children are concerned, you also need to have a clearly defined “Handball Handbook”:
– When is the cat fed and how much?
– Determine when and how much they are allowed to play with a cat. If the cat is asleep, let it sleep.
– Teach children how to pick up the cat from the ground, how to hold it in their hands and how to walk.
– It’s important to explain that a cat cannot be dragged by the tail, paws or head and of course playing with her like a Bakugan warrior is definitely one big no-no.
It is advisable to be present while children are playing with a cat until you are sure that they are gentle enough to let them play with themselves. It also helps to know what type of cats are aggressive.

Cats are one of the purest animals in the world because almost 1/3 of their time is spent grooming. Therefore there is no need to bathe them too frequently. They do not like water because their moist fur provides poor insulation. A good feature in cats is that they like to cover up their feces, so they are easily used to performing at the location you specify. It is best to find a box in which you will put newspapers and a little sand. After every necessity, it is necessary to change the sand and the newspaper.

There are plenty of quality meals designed for your cat. Your vet will be able to recommend the right meal and also tell you the correct quantity to feed your cat based on her age and health needs. Always feed your cat on schedule and encourage her to eat healthy meals.

Pets make very good companions. With proper knowledge to care for them and some tips to make pets feel at home, your cat will give you plenty years of happy companionship.

Quick Kitchen Faucet Installation Guide

I recently installed a kitchen faucet so I’m offering to teach you how to install one as well. It’s not difficult and has a time of installation of one hour, this installation is ideal for those who want to be initiated to the do-it-yourself world. You only need a few tools: a set of flat keys and gloves, you don’t even need to know how they work or anything. Watch an instructional video, and test your handyman skills! If you are wondering what one it was I installed it was similar to this one

Start by assembling the spare parts of your kitchen faucet. Start the water connection with the two hoses at the base of the faucet, then install the valve body by installing a seal on each side.

Installing on the countertop

Once the water valve has been installed, insert the base into the hole in the top and attach each gasket and mounting nut under the plane. Tighten with a small wrench and turn it tight.

Water connection

Your kitchen faucet is soon ready to operate. All you have to do is connect the water with the two hoses to the hot and cold water inlets. Begin by screwing by hand and finish tightening with two flat wrenches. If you don’t have a lot of experience with tightening pipes then maybe it’s in your best interest to call a plumber, as if this part is messed up there could be big consequences.

Open the water inlet and unscrew the filter to allow the air in the pipes to exit. Reassemble the filter, try the flow of hot and cold water … Your faucet is now installed!

Why do dogs run away?

k9Runaway pooches are a well-known problem of dog owners. Whether it’s occasional or chronic, the issue of the dog represents a danger to itself that must be corrected.

Fortunately, solutions exist to solve this behavioral disorder of the dog that we will go over. But first, let’s ask the question why does the dog run away in the first place?

Sexuality: Your female dog can also succumb to sexual needs. Her escape will then be motivated by the search for a partner, which may correspond to periods of a heat of the females canines.

Separation anxiety: This disorder can appear as a result of an absence or a bad socialization in the puppy in its first weeks of life. It results in destructive behavior, not only on objects but also on itself sometimes, and in most serious cases, a lack of communication.

Fear: a noise, a bang, a storm. The sources of noise that can scare your pet are many. The animal that is scared will then take flight.

Loneliness: the dog can run away from home because he is bored when you are not at home, or after a change in his host family like moving houses, new family members, new pets. If the animal feels frustrated, it will naturally seek elsewhere what it no longer finds, or more in sufficient quantity, than at it’s current home.

Hunger: As we all know, the majority of dogs think with their stomachs. If the animal feels a pleasant smell floating in the air, it may be tempted to seek its source.

Runaway dogs: What are the solutions?

Rest assured, solutions exist to remedy this problem. Not all cases are treated the same way and some dogs are more difficult to train than others.

The first thing that you need to do is make sure that your mutt is secured when you aren’t at home.  You do this by getting a heavy duty dog crate like these ones –

The next step is to stop punishing your mutt whenever he comes back after already escaping. You see the problem with dogs is that they will not be able to understand what is going on and won’t know they have done something wrong.  You must catch them in the act to punish them.
